Are you new to Brightspace?  Want to learn how you can start to navigate and use Brightspace as a librarian?
Join trainers from D2L to learn the basics of the Brightspace Learning Environment. 

SUNY Librarian Training in the Brightspace Learning Environment

This session will walk you through how to facilitate activities in a course, giving you a chance to practice things like editing content, adding supplementary materials, creating groups, and posting announcements.

This training engagement will provide information on using the Brightspace Learning Environment (LE) , including essential knowledge to help librarians get started with creating and managing resources to support students in research.

TRAINING LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:
1. Understand the Basic Navigation of the Learning Environment
2. Manage content and activities, edit/or and add supplementary components 
3. Build and Review content in a variety of styles and formats
4. Explore basic video capabilities and settings for various tools in a course 
5. Post communications to inform learners of upcoming activities or policies, resources
6. Review and practice integrations with third party tools
7. Review best practices for supporting students in research and information literacy within Brightspace
 

AUDIENCE
This training is designed for librarians, support staff, and other individuals from your institution who will be developing or managing course and Organizational resources using Brightspace
